SOU’s Degree in Three program opportunities accelerate the time it will take you to earn a degree by shortening and personalizing your path to degree completion. Speeding up your time to graduation will allow you to start your career sooner, travel, or boost your graduate school options.
The Degree in Three program analyzes your high school work (such as dual credits, Advanced Placement, CLEP, etc.) to create an individualized path to early graduation. An educational plan is developed for you based on your previous credits and future educational goals, with the help of professors in your major and the Degree in Three program. Other benefits include priority enrollment each semester to ensure your time to degree is on track!
Benefits of the Bachelor’s Degree in Three Programs
- A contract with SOU to complete the course work in three years
- Priority registration status
- A Degree in Three dedicated advisors to create a personalized path to early completion
- A normal course load of about 16 credits (four classes) per semester
- Up to one year less tuition, fees, books and other expenses
- Time to work, play, study, volunteer and compete.
- One less year of university and one more year of what YOU want to do
- One year before graduate school
- Upon graduation, a fully recognized bachelor’s degree!
Accelerated Baccalaureate (“Acc Bacc”) Criteria
- Open to all first-year students.
- Have an unweighted high school grade point average of at least 3.4 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Pursue a degree from the list of available options below
Jackson County Josephine (“JackJo” or “Pledge”) Pledge Program Criteria
- Open to seniors from schools in Jackson or Josephine counties in Southern Oregon.
- Have an unweighted high school grade point average of at least 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Pursue a degree from the list of available options below
